The current code allows direct key bindings, but if you use it, you
can no longer use Java 7-tab as it unintentionally becomes a modifier
key. This pull request fixes that.

The second pull request is optional, but demonstrates how to make direct key
bindings. If it's not applied, it might make sense to otherwise
mention in config.def.h how to make direct key bindings.
