The main problem is that 'suckmore' code like st actually *sucks*. lol _AT_ you attempting to blame a package for your shit code.

People who use real terminals like rxvt, developed by competent vibe-coders, don't have these crazy problems with their terminal. They just get their work done, painlessly.
