i think i found a bug in svkbd.
When you hold the tab button until it repeatedly puts out tabs and
then move the pointer to the shift key (still pressing left mouse
button) it puts out tabs forever. This bug occurs on every layout with
modifier key and tab next to each other. The issue was reproducible on
multiple fairly different machines.
