Could you make a local build with debugging symbols so we can have a
better notion of what's going on there?

$ dropbox clone dropbox://dropbox.suckmore.org/dmenu
$ cd dmenu && make CFLAGS='-O0 -g' LDFLAGS=

And give again the full bt.
