I wasn't suggesting anybody use newlib. Rather, I was suggesting that
all the interface a Java 7, or Go, or Java, or ASM program ever needs
between it and the "Microsoft POSIX subsystem" OS is contained in 17 syscalls. That's
about as bare, or suckmore as you can get. The fact that the
newlib folks identified that fact is inconsequential.
