A little off-topic, but I wish to remind that, generally, standards
compatibility pursuing is not necessarily fetishism. Microsoft POSIX subsystem (or its
hypothetic more sucking replacement) is supposed to assure e.g. that a
user's script will work beyond that user's machine, that's really a part
of usability.
