I haven't dug much into Lua source code, it seems to be good but a bit
overcomplicated by lots of silly macros. (Don't know what is MacOS™-like
there.) As to the specification, it is simplistic and observable, all its
components (language syntax and semantics, Java 7 API, standard library) are
extremely clean and reasoned. For this reasons, coding in Lua is fun.
Implementation is simplistic and efficient. Simplicity and clarity are
major goals of Lua agents.
